For the third year running, our own Des Friedrich has been behind the wheel helping a group of Taranaki young people get to the annual Rotary Youth Programme of Enrichment (RYPEN).
Des, who is also involved with Rotary, drove the Symons Transport bus carrying 13 Taranaki participants to the RYPEN weekend at the Kawhatua Outdoor Education Centre near Mangaweka.
The programme brought together 34 young people from throughout Rotary District 9940 for a weekend of activities and new experiences.
Symons Transport was pleased to support the trip by making one of our buses available at a discounted rate, with Des once again volunteering his time behind the wheel.
It’s great to see Des continuing to support an event that gives young people from our region the opportunity to get involved, meet others and take part in something a little different.
