We have an exciting Class 5 Bulk Tipper driving position available within our team that comes with competitive remuneration and health and wellbeing benefits.
What does the job involve?
Based in New Plymouth, this is an exciting opportunity for a Class 5 Driver who is experienced with Bulk Tippers.
The hours are Monday to Friday, plus the occasional Saturday. This is a linehaul position and runs typically between New Plymouth, Hamilton and Auckland, so you will be away for the working week.
You need to have proven experience operating Bulk Tippers, the ability to work unsupervised, have excellent communication to build weekly schedules, the ability to reverse and manoeuvre on tight sites and be tech savvy as we use electronic logbooks, eRoad and Drive Buddy.

We are looking for experienced P-endorsed bus/van drivers to join our VIP team on a casual basis. You will need to be friendly, available, and be ready to take the wheel. Being a VIP Driver is more than being professional and driving a bus or van; it is also about looking after passengers, all of which takes a special skill set. We work hard to provide the very best quality of service, so it is vital that we recruit the right people for this important job.

• Experienced with driving 49-seater buses and or 19-seater vans
• Work as part of a dedicated team
• Prioritising safety and compliance at all times
• Maintain a clean and well-presented fleet of vehicles, perform daily inspections of vehicles, and report any defects or damage
• Drive in an exemplary manner, following NZTA rules and regulations as well as adhering to all Symons Transport policies and procedures
• Liaise with all customers, members of the public, and work colleagues politely and professionally at all times
• Comply with health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe workplace
• Have good time management skills and be able to follow instructions/directions well
• Use of tablets to accurately record hours, mileage, load plans, and any other relevant information
• Be a well-presented team player with excellent communication skills and attention to detail

We are on the hunt for experienced and hardworking Class 5 Heavy Vehicle Operators based in Bell Block.
These are casual positions only.
You will ideally need to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in any of the following: Flat Deck, Tanker or Swing lift, and be able to build and maintain excellent relationships with our clients.
