The Symons Group of companies has a proud history of supporting our community so being part of the Silver family’s road to success is an honour.
We know it’s all about the hard yards before race day that make’s the difference, so congratulations on the results, experiences had and relationships built for the future.
After having to learn kayaking skills v’s the known BMX due to extreme flooding some great results were achieved across the ditch.
Continuous rain that re-started on day two and floods affected the team hugely, being evacuated from their accommodation in the early hours of Friday morning (the day before racing) and with the track suffering massive damage due to the weather bomb, there wasn’t any track time, it was an interesting start to the racing weekend.
Competition Results:
The New Zealand Mighty 11 BMX teams secured Silver battling it out hard against the Australians.
Lexi, was named #8 female rider of the competition!
Cees made it to the semifinals of each day’s competition, the only Kiwi at the event in his age group.
Scott won gold on both days of the competition home with two 4kg massive trophies which pushed them over on their weight limit, so the team had to lug them around the airports and planes 🤣
The friendships formed, cultural exchanges, and pure love of the sport that was shared will last a lifetime.
Once again congratulations from the Symons Team, it was awesome to provide support to some local athletes on the global stage.
